With the continuous release of final outcomes from the ERIGrid project and the started efforts in ERIGrid 2.0, the projects’ achievements have been getting acknowledgement in the smart energy community.
After the project end, the European Commission published an article about the predecessor project ERIGrid and the need to address system validation for smart grids for increasing the share of renewables.
More light about the backstory of ERIGrid is shed in the article by the European Commission’s CORDIS.
A recent article by International Energy Agency (IEA) about ERIGrid and ERIGrid 2.0 shines a spotlight on the scope of both projects’ work, their achievements and the value to the society.
Finally, after ERIGrid’s Holistic Approach for Evaluating Complex Smart Grid Systems won the Good Practice of the Year Award 2020 in the category “Technological Innovation & System Integration”, the award organiser Renewable Grid Initiative summarised the project achievements in the award brochure (p. 27).
